Course On Improvement In Family Mediation Of The Second Class Is Completed Successfully

Conciliators and mediators accredited in the Judicial Centers for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (Cejuscs) of the poles of Palmas, Miracema do Tocantins, Guaraí, Paraíso do Tocantins and Porto Nacional participated on August 28th and 29th, of the course on Improvement in Family Mediation. In its second edition, the training was conducted face-to-face at the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat).

The classes were taught by Professors Indira Matos Freitas de Magalhães and Lorena da Cruz Neves Pimenta Gutierrez, who addressed topics such as self-knowledge and emotional management, modern conflict theory, non-violent communication, psychosocial aspects of family conflicts, foundations and dimensions of family mediation, as well as specific techniques of mediation. The participants also engaged in practical activities that included comediing, recontextualization, identification of implicit proposals, active listening, production of options, and conducting of individual sessions.

Professor Lorena highlighted the importance of the active methodology employed in the course, which places the participants at the center of the learning process. 

"It was an honor to teach the course for Classes I and II. With the use of active methodology, we were able to establish an empathetic and productive connection with the accredited professionals of the Cejuscs Poles, promoting effective exchange of experiences and mutual learning", she commented.

The course was developed with the objective of updating and training mediators and conciliators for the exercise of their functions, focusing on the application of specific techniques in conciliation hearings and family mediation sessions.

Class III

The next class of the course will be addressed to conciliatorsand mediators accredited in the Cejuscs Poles of Araguaína, Araguatins, Colinas do Tocantins and Tocantinópolis. The activities will begin in the auditorium of the district of Araguaína, from September 2nd.
