Course On “Civil Procedure Today: Practices And Perspectives” Concludes On Tuesday (June 4th)

With 70 hours of training, the course on “Civil Procedure today: practices and perspectives” ended on Tuesday (June 4th) with the qualification of magistrates and civil servers of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins to improve and review the subject, focusing on the theoretical and practical bases of the Code of Civil Procedure.

The course covered a jurisprudential analysis of the higher courts, including the fundamental principles of contemporary civil procedure, its historical evolution and its relevance in the current legal context, with the final meeting taking place in the auditorium of Esmat in the city of Palmas. Marcelo Bezerra Ribeiro, the post-doctoral Professor in Law, with a doctorate and a master's degree in Civil Procedure, who was responsible for teaching the course, was praised by the students for his didactic approach and for the up-to-date content taught throughout the course.

For Gustavo Carneiro dos Reis, the first instance legal Advisor for the civil court in the district of Paraíso, the course given by Dr. Marcelo provided a unique experience, “about the current state of the whole civil process and forensic practice itself, in a way that added a lot of knowledge for our day-to-day work, from the beginning of the process to the end,” he said.

Ana Paula da Silva Rocha, from the criminal executions court in the district of Gurupi, highlighted the relevance of the topic because it is an area that is not part of her daily life. “It's a way of acquiring more knowledge, recycling things we've seen before, the professor is very didactic and I believe we can apply it to our work in the future and use it on several procedural occasions,” she said.
