The National School for the Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam) will be holding the course on Restorative Justice in Education from May 29th to July 3rd. The initiative, which is part of continuing education, will consist of four classes with 120 students each. Vacancies are open to members of the federal and state judiciary and the registration period is from May 6th to 22nd.

Interested parties should register at the site of the School.

The aim of the course is to analyze the Restorative Justice, its principles and values, as well as the proposal for work in the relational, institutional and social dimensions, and also the philosophy on which it is based. With this, it is hoped to give concrete form to the work of implementing and expanding the Restorative Justice in Schools, with the involvement of the community, including the Judiciary. The action is promoted by the Restorative Justice Management Committee of the National Council of Justice.

The training will be divided into four stages, the first of which is entitled Restorative Justice and a Culture of Peace. Stage two will deal with The Dimensions of Coexistence, followed by stage three, on Restorative Justice and its Transformative Potential, and stage four, on The Management of the Restorative Justice in the Community.

The expectation is that, at the end of the course, magistrates will develop skills such as: analyzing the Restorative Justice in Education in the context of the Culture of Peace and Fundamental Human Rights; understanding the dimensions of coexistence in the relational, institutional and social spheres, as well as analyzing the principles and values of the Restorative Justice in education; use the concept of the Restorative Justice and its breadth, as a community instrument for social transformation and changing paradigms in education; and indicate aspects for planning the management of the Restorative Justice in Education, in order to make the Restorative Justice project effective, built by the Restorative Justice Management Committee of the CNJ in partnership with the MEC, the Courts and the Education Secretariats.
