Workshop Explores Functionalities And Features Of The LGPDJus Application

Continuing the activities of the Week on the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) held a workshop on Wednesday afternoon (September 27th) aimed at exploring the functionalities and resources of the LGPDJus application.

The magistrates and civil servers of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins were encouraged to understand and deepen their understanding of the most relevant cases involving the protection of personal data presented to the Personal Data Protection Management Committee of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJSC).

Divided into two workshops, the workshop was attended by the LGPD project manager at the Directorate of Information Technology of TJSC, Giovanni Moresco; the Secretary of the Personal Data Protection Management Committee of TJSC, Marcello Muller Teive; and the Legal Advisor of the Committee, Victória Lapa Cavalcanti.

Giovanni presented the LGPDjus application, which is one of the examples of justice in the palm of your hand, a technological solution that includes the cell phone (Android and IOS) and the other part that facilitates administrative management itself.

"It was developed with free software and blockchain (a secure, integrated and decentralized form of data and transfers), which means that the cost is practically zero for the Courts, leaving only a fixed administrative cost of having a person from the Court of Justice to manage the search flow based on the requests," he explained.

The initial intention was precisely to make it available to any body. Currently, the application has won three awards: first place in the "Digital Solution" category, in an award promoted by the Federal Data Processing Service (SERPRO); the 1st Edition of "Article 50", an initiative of Data Privacy Brazil; and second place in the Management Innovation award at ExpoJud.
