Esmat Concludes Course On The Elaboration Of Minute Summaries, Improving The Work Of Legal Advisors In The Court Of Justice

The course on Elaboration of Minute Summaries, held by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), concluded its activities this Friday (May 19th). The objective of this training was to provide the registrants of the Court with specialized knowledge to elaborate minutes of jurisprudence summaries in a standardized, clear, and precise manner.

Aimed at legal advisors responsible for preparing minutes and/or court decisions for the Court of Justice, the course approached the importance of jurisprudential summaries in the system of binding precedents. The main focus was to highlight their function and relevance in jurisprudence, besides providing techniques to create minutes with recoverable terms, ensuring the consistency and efficiency of decisions.

Mariana Luylla Queiroz, assistant in the Office of the Justice Angela Hoanot, expressed her gratitude regarding the course: "Participating in the course was an ennobling experience. The classes taught by professor Dulce Pontes are incredible, as they have a dynamic methodology in which we, the students, learn the theoretical part of the function and the methods of elaboration of the jurisprudence reports through explanations, slides, and complete materials. In addition, we had the opportunity to participate in discussion forums and, finally, we learned how to construct summaries in a clear, concise and objective manner. I sincerely believe that, after participating in the course, our summaries of the Court will better fulfill their function of summarizing and disseminating the content of court decisions, reflecting our Judges' understanding of the legal facts presented in trial. This, in turn, will facilitate the search for jurisprudence for magistrates, public servers, and citizens alike," she said.

The last class had as its theme the Production of Summaries, and the students were organized in mini rooms to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the course. This approach allowed a more dynamic learning environment, favorable to the exchange of experiences among the participants.
