Esmat launches the Good Judiciary Practices course in Combating Domestic and Family Violence against women, based on Gender

With the proposal to train magistrates and civil servers of the executive and of the Judiciary in Tocantins that act on the various fronts of action specialized in the Combat of Domestic and Family Violence against Women, the School of Judges of Tocantins (Esmat) launches the Good Practices of the Judiciary course in Combating Domestic and Family Violence against women, based on Gender. Registrations start on Thursday (24th) and runs until September 30th.

Divided into four modules, the course takes place from October 2nd to November 3rd, in the Distance Learning modality, through Esmat’s Virtual Learning Environment (AVA). 75 vacancies are being offered to registered judges and civil servers, as well as to multidisciplinary professionals working in the fight against domestic violence, such as civil servers of the State Prosecution, Public Defender, health professionals, agents and Police officers from specialized departments, and members of the justice system who are charged with applying Law number 11.340 from 2006, with the purpose of correctly applying the National Risk Assessment Form of the National Council of Justice.

Registrations of judges and civil servers of the Judiciary will be carried out through the Esmat Virtual Academic Secretariat (SAV). As for other target audiences, they should be requested based on the indication of the head of the institutionwhere the Server is located and should be sent to the e-mail address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., with the following data from the Server: full name; CPF; e-mail and telephone contact.

The course proposal is justified by the reality of the state of Tocantins presented by the State Coordination of Women in Situations of Domestic and Family Violence against Women, based on Gender, in which women victims of violence are treated in Police Stations or Hospitals, in their great majority in country cities, where the rate of violence is most evident. Given this context, there is a need to train agents who work directly in the initial care and monitoring of the victim to ensure compliance with protective measures.
