Registration for the Confronting Domestic and Family Violence Against Women course is now open

In order to develop skills in magistrates who work in the Specialized Courts to Combat Domestic and Family Violence against Women and Jury Courts, with the task of applying Law No. 11. 340, from 2006, having as purpose the correct application of the National Risk Evaluation Form from the National Council of Justice, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins launches, this Friday (25th) and goes until July 16th, 2021, the enrollment process for the Confronting Domestic and Family Violence Against Women course.

80 vacancies are being offered for magistrates of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins. The course will have a 20 hours classload and will take place between August 5th and 30th, 2021. Registrations can be made at Esmat Portal; classes will be held in distance learning mode, at Esmat's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

Divided into three modules, the course has as programmatic content: The impacts of gender violence and the protective effects of the Maria da Penha Law; The network paradigm and the Confrontation of violence against women; The Assessment and Risk Form of the National Council of Justice.

About the professors:

Renata do Nascimento e Silva

Master's degree in Legal Sciences from the Law School of the University of Lisbon. Since 2008, she has served as a law judge in the state of Tocantins. Judge - Head of the Criminal Court of Paraíso do Tocantins.

Graziele Cristina Lopes Ribeiro

Graduated in Law from the University of Marília, 1999. Master's Degree in International Economic Law, from the Catholic University of Brasília, 2013. PhD in Constitutional Law, from the Autonomous Law School of São Paulo, 2018. Post-Doctorate in Human Rights, from the University of Salamanca. She is currently a professor at the Palmas Lutheran University Center, substitute professor at the Federal University of Tocantins and lawyer. She has experience in the area of Law, with emphasis in Human Rights. Professor of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Law.

Cíntia Menezes Brunetta

Graduated in Law from Federal University of Ceará, 2002. MBA in Judicial Power, Getúlio Vargas Foundation. Master's Degree in Law, Christus University Center - Unichristus. PhD candidate at the Autonomous Law School (FADISP). She is a federal Judge at the Federal Regional Court of the 5th Region. She is currently working as general secretary of the National School for Training and Improvement of Judges (ENFAM), as assistant Judge of the Presidency of the STJ. Assistant General Coordinator of PPGD/Enfam. Winner of the Innovare Award, in 2010, and honorable mention of the same award, in 2019, both in the Judge category. Trainer of magistrates and trainer of trainers at Enfam.
