With the expansion of the target audience, registration for the educating for good online choices course - classes I and II are extended

The target audience for the Educating for Good Online Choices course – Classes I and II – was extended to male and female servers, trainees from the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, employees from Esmat’s partner organs, and professionals and members of the Brazilian Justice System.

Registration was extended until February 24th, 2022, and the training is a result of the Citizenship Project on the CGJUS/TO Network 5.0, through the Cooperation Agreement between the Court of Justice, CGJUS, the State Education Secretariat (SEDUC) and SaferNet Brazil, signed last December.  SaferNet Brazil is a civil association under private law, operating nationwide, without profit or economic purposes, and with no political, party, religious or racial ties. Founded on December 20th, 2005, its focus is to promote and defend Human Rights on the Internet in Brazil.

Held by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) along with the General Internal Affairs of Justice, the course aims to provide knowledge through the application of in-depth concepts, providing guidance on actions to prevent crimes against children and adolescents on the Internet and promoting the safe use of the Internet, focusing on ONLINE Rights and Duties, CYBERBULLYING, ONLINE Sexuality, Digital Security, and Internet Well-Being and Mental Health.

With a class load of 60 hours, the course is taught by the learning facilitators: Daniel Tornaim Spritzer, Karen Scavacini, Juliana Andrade Cunha, Rodrigo Nejm, Thiago Tavares Nunes de Oliveira, and Ana Rita Cunha. Among the topics covered in the training course are: offering a grounding in Internet rights and duties, based on the Civil Mark of the Internet and the Child and Adolescent Statute; demystifying the safe and conscious use of the Internet as a subject only for IT professionals; providing participants with guidelines for preventing and confronting situations of discrimination and intimidation (CYBERBULLYING) and ONLINE sexual violence (nude leaks and grooming), among others.
