Workshop Solidary Selective Collection - Solid Waste Capacitation - discusses environmental education, integrated management and sustainability on the second day of activities

The second day of the Workshop Solidary Selective Collection - Solid Waste Training - Class III, held on Tuesday afternoon (16th), was attended by dozens of magistrates and servers of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins. The lectures were shown through digital platforms. The event is an initiative of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, through the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT).

For the president of the Joint Selective Collection commission and vice president of TJTO, Judge Ângela Prudente, the participation of Court servers in the knowledge transmission process reflects the concern in promoting sustainability in Judiciary of the State of Tocantins. "The knowledge and experiences reported in this workshop will help the Judiciary with environmental issues, in order to promote changes in institutional culture and break paradigms. We have to stop being the I and become the We", she recalled.

The lecture cycle also counted with the presence of the General Director of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), Jonas Demóstene Ramos; the coordinator of the Socio-environmental Management Center (NUGES-TJTO), Leila Jardim; and Esmat's technical team.

On Tuesday, the architect Heloíza Simonni, an expert in Labor Safety Engineering from the State University of Maringá, and a Master's student in Computer Modeling from the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), spoke about Conceptualization, Characterization and Classification of Solid Waste, among other topics, and the journalist Wherbert Araújo explained about Management and Integrated Solid Waste Management.

Two other training stages are planned, aimed at the employees of the cleaning system in the units of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins and in other districts.
