General Director Of Esmat Will Hold Opening Of The Academic Year Of 2026 Of The Judicial School Of The State Of Roraima

The general director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) and president of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (Copedem), Justice Marco Villas Boas, will give the opening lecture of the Academic Year of the Judicial School of the state of Roraima (Ejurr) - 2026. The event will be held on January 30th, in the session room of the Full Court at the Justice Robério Nunes dos Anjos Palace of Justice, from 9 am.

With the theme on "The impacts of Generative AI in the Jurisdiction", the focus of the lecture will be to discuss the use of Artificial Intelligence within the scope of the Judiciary in an ethical and safe way. May participate magistrates, civil servers and trainees of the Court of Justice of the state of Roraima (TJRR).

For the director of the Judicial School of the state of Roraima (Ejurr), Justice Tânia Vasconcelos, the participation of the president of Copedem will contribute to the expansion of debates on the subject. Last year, the magistrate coordinated an official mission of judicial schools in China focused on expanding knowledge in the area of Innovation, AI and Digital Governance, aimed at the Judiciary.

The opening lecture will feature accessibility in Libras, the Brazilian Sign Language. The public will be able to participate in the in person format, or follow the transmission by the Ejurr channel on YouTube.

Curriculum

Justice of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins since 2001. Bachelor in Law, by the University Center of the city of Brasilia (CEUB). Specialist and master in Constitutional Law. PhD in Legal-Political Sciences, from the College of Law of the University of Lisbon. Doctor of Constitutional Law, by PUC-Rio. He joined the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins in 1989. Served the Presidency of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins in 2003-2005. He served as president, vice president and chief of Justice of the Regional Electoral Court of the state of Tocantins in several biennium, as well as president of the College of Electoral Chiefs of Justice of Brazil. Since 2011, he has held the position of general director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), with outstanding performance in the training and improvement of magistrates, implementation of distance learning, STRICTO SENSU graduate programs, ISO 9001 certification:2015 and strengthening the institutional scientific production. He is a member of the Academy of Letters of the state of Tocantins and the International Academy of Jurisprudence and Comparative Law. Author of books and scientific articles and national and international lecturer.
