EsmatCast Debate LGPD (General Data Protection Law) Applied To Extrajudicial Services And Reinforces Culture Of Data Protection

The protection of personal data is already part of the routine of public and private institutions, and in the universe of extrajudicial services, this care connects directly to the trust of the citizen and the security of services. With this proposal, the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) launches, in December, the last episode of 2025 of the Esmat Cast focusing on the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) applied to notary offices.

The episode is presented by Sharlessandra Bezerra Lima, civil server of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) and academic of the Master in Judicial Provision and Human Rights (ESMAT/ UFT). The recording integrates the research project of the master, entitled: "Analysis of the implementation of the LGPD in the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins", developed under the guidance of Professor Lisiane Paixão.

As guests, participate Douglas Chagas da Silva and Franklin Jeferson dos Santos, who also taught, on October 7th and 8th, the course on "General Data Protection Law (LGPD) applied to the Extrajudicial Services of the State of Tocantins", addressed to holders and responsible for the notary offices of the state of Tocantins.

Throughout the episode, the guests explain, in accessible language, the main actors involved in adapting to the LGPD, highlighting roles as data holder, controller, operator and supervisor, and how this division of responsibilities organizes compliance work in the services. They also clarify common doubts about institutional action, addressing the relationship between ANPD (National Data Protection Authority) and CNJ (National Council of Justice) in the context of extrajudicial services, as well as the role of provisions in guiding and supervising the subject.
