The Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) published, by means of the Ordinance no 3.741, from 2025, the calendar of holidays and optional points under the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins for the year of 2026. The measure guides the operation of administrative and judicial units throughout the State over the next year and provides predictability in institutional planning and public service.
Among the dates set are national, state and municipal holidays, as well as optional points. Traditional events, such as Carnival (February 16th and 17th) and Holy Week (April 1st, 2nd and 3rd), follow the legislation. The 20th of April, 5th of June and 10th of August were set as optional points.
The Ordinance also transfers two holidays to new dates in the year of 2026. Day of the Civil Server, traditionally on October 28th, will be observed on October 30th. The holiday of the Day of Justice, before celebrated on December 8th, was transferred to December 18th.
In the capital, in addition to the dates applicable to the entire State, Day of Saint Joseph on March 19th and the anniversary of the city of Palmas on May 20th remain municipal holidays. In the interior regions, municipal holidays defined by local legislation will be observed.
