Deadline For Submission Of Articles To The Liiares Journal Is Extended Until October 15th

Researchers and professionals who have not yet submitted articles to LIIARES gained more time. The deadline for submission was extended until October 15th, at 11:59 pm (Brasília time). The publication, linked to the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence (LIIARES) of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), is aimed at studies on Technology, Innovation and Justice, focusing on Generative Artificial Intelligence.

The proposal of the Journal is to promote dialogue between academic knowledge and practical experiences, bringing together research applied to the legal ecosystem from the perspective of ethics, social responsibility and digital transformation.

Themes and editorial scope 

The LIIARES Journal accepts contributions that dialogue with the axes of action of the Laboratory, among them:

  •  Artificial intelligence applied to the Justice System, with emphasis on automation with human supervision, transparency, explainability and reliability;                                                                                                                                                                                                            
  • Algorithmic governance and regulation, including guidelines, standards, accountability mechanisms and impact reporting;                                                                                  
  • Digital ethics, data protection and LGPD, aimed at data sovereignty, information security and fundamental rights;
  • Sustainability and climate justice, with a focus on public emissions management, the use of AI in decarbonization processes, green finance and climate adaptation;
  • Generative Artificial Intelligence in judicial services, addressing uses in precedents, ODR/conciliation, digital transformation and social impact.

Who can submit

The call is addressed to magistrate, civil servers, researchers, graduate students and professionals from different areas who maintain interlocution with the Justice System.

At least one of the authors must have minimum master’s degree. It is mandatory that all authors have updated LATTES Curriculum.

Formatting guidelines

The works must: 

  • Follow the ABNT NBR 6023 and 10520 standards, with author-date system;
  • Include bilingual summary and keywords (Portuguese/English), with up to 250 words and 5 keywords;
  • Be formatted in Times New Roman 12, 1.5 spacing, A4 paper (margins: 3 cm upper/left and 2 cm lower/right);
