The effort of municipalities and notary offices in the state of Tocantins to advance the Urban Land Regularization (Reurb) was recognized in the third edition of the Seal of Social Responsibility: "Who Regularizes Dignifies". In all, 26 municipalities and 26 real estate registry offices received the award, which contemplated the categories Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond, delivered during the 2nd Land Forum of the state of Tocantins in the afternoon of this Friday (August 29th).

For Justice Pedro Nelson de Miranda Coutinho, general chief of Justice, the Seal of Social Responsibility values the effort of municipalities and notary offices in land regularization.

"The seal is a way to recognize the effort of municipalities and notary offices that stood out in the processes of land regularization in the state of Tocantins. They were true partners in promoting citizenship and guaranteeing dignity to the families benefited," said the magistrate.

Jason Marinho, mayor of the district of Tabocão, celebrated the achievement of the Diamond Seal, highlighting that the award is a recognition to the work developed for the benefit of the local population, especially in land regularization actions. The municipality, which has about 2,700 inhabitants, according to the IBGE estimate, is located 164 km from the city of Palmas. "This recognition shows that, even being a small municipality, we have been able to advance public policies that make a difference in the lives of people. Land regularization brings dignity, security and hope to families, and reinforces our commitment to continue working for a fairer and more developed city", he celebrated.

"For the third consecutive year we won the Diamond seal, result of the commitment to the land regularization project, which generates significant social and economic impacts for the population. We recognize the importance of securing the right to housing and remain committed to expand security deliveries. Count on us to advance further in this work in partnership with Nupref and TJTO," said Fábio Roque Araújo, registrar of the Real Estate Registry of the city of Palmas.

Seal

With the mission of "Unroll, unlock, solve!", Nupref travels throughout the State promoting the land regularization of several municipalities. So far, 22,000 citizens have already received the titles of their real estate, legitimizing them as de facto and de jure owners and guaranteeing them dignity and legal security.

The partnership between city halls and Real Estate Registry Offices is fundamental to achieve this mark. Seeking to recognize this effort, CGJUS instituted the award: "Who Regularizes Dignifies!", granted to notary offices that stood out in the process of regularization of informal housing units in the State over the last year.

The award is in its third edition and it is divided according to the size of the municipalities: small, medium and large. The Bronze Seal is awarded to those who have reached 75 points; Silver to those who have reached 100 points; Gold to those who have had 125 points or more; and Diamond to those who have reached 150 points. In addition to the number of regularized titles, the evaluation considered criteria such as the signing of the term of technical cooperation with Nupref and the creation of administrative structures that strengthen the Reurb process.
