Registrations for the course on Training for Tutors in Mental Health and Human Rights are open until August 22nd. The educational program will be held remotely from August 28th to October 3rd. With 30 class hours and 40 places available, the course is intended for members of the federal, state, and electoral Judiciary.

The training will be structured in four units. The first will be on Mental Health, Human Rights, and SUS Guidelines, focusing on their conceptual, historical, and normative basis; the second will address Mental Health and the Prison System: the role of the Judiciary in institutionalizing the anti-asylum policy; the third will deal with Mental Health and the Socio-Educational System: the role of the Judiciary in articulating the Rights Guarantee System; and the fourth will present Deinstitutionalization: the parameters of action for the Judiciary.
The course aims to train magistrates to develop strategies and solutions aimed at protecting and guaranteeing the human rights of people with mental disorders and psychosocial disabilities, including adolescents serving socio-educational measures. The proposal is aligned with the fundamental rights, the Anti-Asylum Policy of the Judiciary, and current regulations, promoting coordination between the Unified Health System (SUS) and the social protection network.

During the registration and selection process, the Affirmative Action Policy of Enfam will be taken into consideration. Specific cases will also be addressed to ensure accessibility and inclusion for all participants. If necessary, assistive technologies such as sign language, subtitling, and audio description will be provided.
