
The second semester of 2025 begins with an intense programming of activities at the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat). Throughout August, the institution promotes a series of events and training aimed at improving magistrates, civil servers, academics and professionals from various areas of the Judiciary.
The agenda begins with the IV Symposium on "Law and Health: focusing on the judicialization of health", held in partnership with the Institute for Supplementary Health Studies (IESS). The event, which will bring together authorities and experts from all over the country, proposes technical-legal reflections on the impacts of health judicialization and alternatives for a more efficient, transparent and safe action in the area.
On August 4th and 5th, the Master’s and Professional Doctorate Program in Judicial Provision and Human Rights (PPGPJDH) promotes the Interdisciplinary CAPES-PPGPJDH Meeting, aimed at students and professors interested in understanding the recent changes in the rules of evaluation of Capes, focusing on the criteria of Quality, Technical Production and Bibliographic Production.
Also on the 4th, the course on "Monitoring of Decisions of the Inter-American Human Rights System" begins. The activities will take place through the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), with web classes on the GOOGLE MEET platform, in addition to face-to-face meetings at Esmat. Coordinated by Judge José Eustáquio Melo Júnior, the training aims to analyze the functioning of the Inter-American Human Rights System, with emphasis on the mechanisms for monitoring and compliance with the decisions of the Commission and the Inter-American Court.
From August 6th to 8th, the course on "How to supervise and manage purchasing contracts and ICT services" will be held in person, directed to civil servers of the area of Technology of the TJTO. The training will be conducted by Monique Simões Soares, specialist in administrative contracts.
Still with open registrations, the course on "Who wants/can be black in Brazil?" will be offered from August 6th to 12th, in a hybrid format. The activity aims to prepare magistrates and civil servers for acting with commissions of hetero racial identification, as established by the Resolution no 541 of 2023 of the CNJ. The activities will be led by Professor Rodrigo Ednilson de Jesus, a specialist in the subject, doctor of education and author of reference works on racial identity in Brazil.
On the 7th and 8th, Esmat promotes the third class of the course on "Digital Transformation in the Judiciary", taught by Justice Marco Villas Boas and coordinated by Judge Wellington Magalhães. With a critical, reflexive and interdisciplinary approach, the initiative aims to train the participants on the impacts of digital transformation in the Judiciary, to understand and apply emerging technologies - such as Digital Interfaces and Intelligent Systems - in an ethical, efficient way and aligned to the contemporary demands of Justice.
The following week, on August 11th and 12th, it will be held the Mosaic Jalapão Seminar, which proposes an interdisciplinary approach to integrated territorial and environmental management. The target audience includes magistrates, civil servers, managers, representatives of civil society, impacted communities, academics, researchers and students.
In the same period, it will start the "EaD Pro - Training Course for Tutors", accredited by Enfam. With classes until October 10th, the training prepares professionals to act as tutors in Esmat courses in the mode of Distance Education. To date, eight classes have already been held with significant results in the pedagogical qualification of magistrates and civil servers involved in the training activities of ESMAT.
The course on "Analysis, preparation and adjustments to the cost and price formation spreadsheets of the exclusive labor services contracts" will take place on the 12th and 13th, focusing on current legislation and good practices of public administration. The training will be conducted by the facilitator Flaviana Vieira Paim, accountant, lawyer and expert in bidding and contracts, with teaching experience and academic production in the area of Public Procurement and Outsourcing.
Starting on August 18th, the self-taught course on "Getting to know Google Workspace: Online Collaboration and Cloud Storage - 2025" will be available, ending on November 15th. The initiative aims to train magistrates and civil servers of the TJTO for the introductory and practical use of the main tools of GOOGLE WORKSPACE, focusing on online collaboration, institutional communication and cloud storage.
On the 19th, there will be a face-to-face training on "Operationalization of the Annual Hiring Plan (PCA)", focused on the use of the GRP System for planning the PCA 2026.
Also in the period from August 19th to September 5th, Esmat offers the first class of the course on "Written and Strategic Communication", developed based on the Skills Assessment carried out in 2024.
On the 21st, civil servers that work with contracts via accreditation participate in a training on the use of the Accreditation System. With a workload of 8 hours, the activity will be carried out in person, from 8am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm.
Still on the 21st, it begins the new class of the course on "Financial Education for Consumers – My Accounts Up to Date at Cejusc", aimed at people in situation of overindebtedness who are already in attendance in the Cejuscs of the TJTO.
Finally, from August 25th to September 30th, the training on "Update on Custody Hearings" will be held. With registrations open until August 18th , the course involves magistrates, Seciju professionals and GMF members, with the objective of improving the institute of custody hearings in the state of Tocantins.
Closing the programming, August 29th marks the holding of the II Land Forum of the state of Tocantins - "Sustainable Development: Partnerships and Means of Implementation". Organized by Nupref and Judge Jordan Jardim, the meeting aims to strengthen land governance in municipalities of the state of Tocantins. With a workload of 8 hours-class, the activity, open to the public, will also be broadcast live to the participants from the cities of the interior of the state of Tocantins and other regions.
