The work by Nélio Póvoa: Human Friendship, Divine Friendship proposes an analysis of friendship from an existential, anthropological and theological perspective. From the biblical narrative of David and Jonathan, the author develops a reflection on the affective bond as a way to reveal personal uniqueness and divine presence.
With accessible language and theoretical foundation, the book dialogues with authors such as Julián Marías and São João Crisóstomo to approach authentic friendship not only as a high interpersonal relationship, but as an expression of a deep spiritual dimension.
