The 4th edition of the project on Literary Paths in Socio-education: for the right to culture will be held in the state of Tocantins next Friday (July 4th), with activities in the provisional detention centers of Gurupi and Santa Fé do Araguaia. The initiative is part of a national action promoted by the National Council of Justice (CNJ), with the support of the Making Justice Program of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and joint with the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO).
This year, the theme of the project is “Adolescence on Stage”, proposing a sensitive look at the role of audiovisuals and youth cultural expressions in the construction of identities, belonging and citizenship.
At the Center of Provisional Detention of the South Region of the city of Gurupi, the workshop on "Behind my eyes" will be held in partnership with the local Journalism course. During the activity, the teenagers will produce photographic coverage of the event, and the records will form part of a collective exhibition. The action will be coordinated by Ellys Mara da Silva, Natyellen Souza and Rafael Bezerra Rabelo.
At the Santa Fé do Araguaia Provisional Detention Center, the programming includes the Cinema and Reflection activity, with a film screening and a round table discussion on the topics covered.
The project on Literary Paths aims to broaden access to culture and reading for adolescents serving socio-educational sentences, recognizing education and art as paths to transformation, inclusion and justice. The edition of this year is also part of the celebrations for the 35th anniversary of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA), reaffirming the commitment of the CNJ to the fundamental rights of children and adolescents.
