On June 17th, the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) will hold the second edition of the Conciliation Award, an initiative that recognizes the work of conciliators and mediators accredited by the Permanent Center for Consensual Methods of Conflict Resolution (Nupemec). The ceremony will take place in the auditorium of the Court in the city of Palmas and it is part of the programming for the 17th National Forum on Mediation and Conciliation (Fonamec), an event of national prominence that will be hosted by the TJ from June 16th to 18th.
The award will honor eleven professionals who stood out throughout 2024 for their work in the Judicial Centers for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (Cejuscs). The aim is to recognize technical performance and commitment to the culture of dialogue, pillars of the National Judicial Policy for the Appropriate Handling of Conflicts.
The winners were nominated based on a performance evaluation carried out by the coordinating judges of the Cejuscs Polo. Criteria were taken into account, such as the number of hearings held with successful agreements and the overall performance in conducting conciliation and mediation activities.
