With Opening In The Complex Of The Madeira-Mamoré (Wood-Mamoré) Railway, Lix Meeting Of Copedem Is Started In The City Of Porto Velho

The history of the state of Rondônia was the chosen scenario to start the LIX Meeting of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (Copedem), held by the School of the Judges of the State of Rondônia (Emeron), Thursday (June 5th) and Friday (June 6th), in the city of Porto Velho. The opening programming of the event, which brings together directors and servers of judicial schools from all over the country, took place in the Complex of the Madeira-Mamoré (Wood-Mamoré) Railway, one of the most symbolic landmarks of the regional identity and the State formation.

The place, full of memory and historical significance, was carefully chosen to welcome the participants and strengthen the link between the past and the present of the Amazon. The morning began with a welcome cocktail, followed by a performance by storyteller Eliseu Braga, who brought to light riverside and Amazonian narratives, connecting the visitors with the local culture. Then, a guided tour was carried out to the Museum of the Railroad, where the guests could know the collection that rescues essential part of the history of the State.

Copedem holds periodic meetings that promote the exchange of experiences and the construction of strategies for strengthening the training and improvement of magistrates throughout Brazil. In this edition, the choice of the state of Rondônia as headquarters reinforces the recognition of the performance of Emeron as a reference in legal education, highlighting its structure, its technical staff and its commitment to pedagogical innovation.

The holding of the Meeting in the city of Porto Velho also provides participants with the opportunity to know the cultural and natural wealth of the Northern Region, while at the same time valuing the role of Emeron on the national scene. The meeting follows with internal programming over the next few days, with debates, meetings and presentations aimed at strengthening public policies for judicial education in the country.
