In a year marked by the COP 30, United Nations Conference on Climate Change, the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) intensifies its action for the environment through the Environmental June project, which takes place between June 1st and 30th.
The project of the TJTO refers to the World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5th, and it aims to sensitize magistrates, civil servers, employees, contractors, volunteers, interns and society as a whole for the importance of preserving natural resources and adopting sustainable practices. Among the symbols of this mobilization of this year are the Sustainable TO Tree and the green lighting of the Court building.
The action is carried out by the Management Committee of the Sustainable Logistics Plan, chaired by Ângela Prudente, who reinforces the dedication and responsibility that have been developed with the aim of reducing impacts and promoting social and environmental awareness.
"In this month of the environment, we invite magistrates, civil servers and all the society to participate in the special programming of the Environmental June. It’s time to rethink our habits, value natural resources and act for the planet. Let’s make a difference together.”
For the coordinator of the Coordination of Social and Environmental Management and Social Responsibility (Cogersa), Luciene Dantas, simple attitudes can make all the difference. "Separate our waste, use your reusable cup or mug, opt for a clean fuel and reduce printing to the minimum necessary, helps us meet the goals of the Sustainable Logistics Plan, contribute to environmental preservation and a more dignified life for several families of waste pickers", says the coordinator.
