Literary Tea Inspires Reflection And Connects Generations With Literature, Music And Innovation

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) held, on the afternoon of Wednesday (May 28th), the third edition of the Literary Tea. Developed by the Library, under the coordination of librarian Silvânia Olortegui, the meeting promoted a moment dedicated to literature and music, bringing together students from the 3rd year of high school of the Military College of the state of Tocantins, writers, servers, teachers and representatives of the culture of the state of Tocantins.

The official opening was in charge of the executive director of Esmat, Ana Beatriz de Oliveira Pretto, who represented Justice Marco Villas Boas, general director of the School. In her speech, she highlighted the importance of the initiative.

“Today, we celebrate literature, music, poetry and innovation in a moment of pause in the routine to feed the soul with art, creativity and listening, which inspires us to continue promoting, through education, culture and dialogue, the values of sensitivity, of respect and transformation, consolidating the event as a meeting place among diverse knowledge, voices and experiences", she said.

Then, the poet Orion Milhomem Ribeiro, president of the Academy of Letters of the city of Palmas, shared his view on the power of literature and poetry. "Poetry has the role of touching the hearts of people, it is food for the soul and relief for the days. It invites us to pause, reflect and see life with more lightness. That events like this continue to promote this transformative meeting among literature, writers and students", he said.

Following, the librarian Silvânia reinforced the transformative power of art and knowledge. "We know how much reading, music and culture can transform the way we see the world and even how we deal with it. This programming was prepared to awaken in you the taste for knowledge, art and good conversations. And, most importantly, to show that spaces like this School are also yours. Here is a place where justice is built, yes, but also dreams, ideas and possibilities", she pointed out.

Among the highlights of the programming, the lecture on "Coffee, Code and Curiosity: a conversation about AI", taught by Professor Vinícius Istofel Oliveira, brought an accessible and inspiring approach on the impacts of Artificial Intelligence in everyday life, bringing technology and human experience in a light and inspiring way.

In the voice of the Enegrecer (Blackening) Collective Group and Cerrado Rap, poetry has gained contours of resistance, identity and belonging. With the powerful declamation of the poets Karlla Sa'mira Magalhães Rodrigues and Kelliany Morais Leite, and the energy of the battle of rhyme, the young artists brought to light necessary reflections.

Carlos Daniel Melo, presenter of the battle, spoke about the importance of an opening space for the debate of these guidelines.

“Bringing hip-hop and rhyming battles to this environment is a way of showing our voice, expressing the reality of the peripheries in an authentic and uncensored way. It is gratifying to be able to share this experience and help more people connect and identify with what we have to say.”

Participated in the battle young Carlos Daniel Melo Ramalho, Gabriel Nascimento, Gabriel Queiroz Cardoso, Gustavo Henrique Soares da Silva Cunha and Enriky Araújo Castro. On the occasion, the 190 Sextet of the Military Police presented participants with a very talented presentation.
