On the National Soil Conservation Day, celebrated on April 15th, the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) will promote the “Solidary Selective Collection D-Day” action. The aim is to publicize the new selective collection point (Ecopoint) and encourage the correct disposal of recyclable waste, as well as raising awareness of environmental preservation.
The action will start at noon on Tuesday (April 15th), in front of the TJTO. Judges, civil servers, employees and trainees are invited to take part, bringing recyclable materials such as paper, plastic, glass and metal. It is important to bring clean, dry packaging. The waste will be properly sorted and deposited at the Ecoponto (Ecopoint), which has been relocated to a more accessible location, near the guardhouse of the Court.
As an incentive to participate, the Court will offer seeds of native Cerrado trees, donated by the Perene Institute, to civil servers and employees who contribute to the action. This donation symbolizes the commitment to the environment and reinforces the responsibility of everyone to preserve the Cerrado.
The action is being promoted by the Sustainable Logistics Plan Management Committee (CGPLS), in partnership with the Social and Environmental Management and Social Responsibility Coordination Office (COGERSA) and it is part of the Project on “Solidary Selective Collection”, which aims to promote the correct separation of waste generated in the building of the TJTO. With this initiative, the institution seeks to encourage sustainable practices among its employees and reduce the environmental impact of the activities of the Judiciary.
