Fulfilling an institutional agenda in the city of Brasilia/DF, Justice Marco Villas Boas, president of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (Copedem), met on Thursday (March 13th) with Judge Caetano Levi Lopes, vice-president of the National School of the Judiciary (ENM). On the agenda of the meeting, they discussed a partnership study between Copedem and ENM to carry out educational activities and joint training events.
Also discussed was a draft for academic and institutional collaboration among Copedem, ENM and the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), which will be sent to the University of the state of São Paulo (USP), with a view to hold an MBA in Digital Law in Distance Learning mode, aimed at Brazilian magistrates. If the proposal is approved, it will go on to be accredited by the National School for the Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam), with vacancies still being offered for the 2025 academic year.
For Justice Marco Villas Boas, president of Copedem, the cooperation proposal aims to unite the expertise and resources of the institutions to provide high-quality courses that meet the needs of magistrates and contribute to strengthen the justice system.
“We believe that the joint actions among Copedem, Esmat and ENM, combined with the academic excellence of USP, will provide magistrates with the necessary tools to face the challenges of the contemporary judiciary and guarantee the provision of an increasingly efficient and qualified judicial service,” he said.
Joint actions
At the same meeting at ENM, the formalization of a partnership agreement to offer joint courses and events between ENM and Copedem was discussed, with the aim of improving the training of magistrates throughout the country. During the visit, several areas of mutual interest and cooperation possibilities were presented, with a focus on creating innovative and relevant training programs for the Brazilian legal scene.
