
During an alignment and educational partnership meeting held in the city of Brasilia (DF) on Tuesday (February 18th), Justice Marco Villas Boas, general director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), met with the directors of Microsoft Brazil, Carlos Augusto Marques and Bruno Pavan, to make online and face-to-face training possible for Brazilian judicial and magistrate schools. A face-to-face course at the headquarters of the company in Seatle (USA) is planned for 2025 to train magistrates from the state of Tocantins.
According to Justice Marco Villas Boas, general director of Esmat, the partnership with Microsoft Brazil reinforces the joint efforts to promote training cycles in Generative Artificial Intelligence that promote the improvement of judicial provision.
“We believe that artificial intelligence has a fundamental role to play in the modernization of the Judiciary, and the training of our judges and civil servers is essential so that we can take advantage of the technological potential and innovative actions of this important and necessary tool,” he said.
Also on the occasion, Microsoft Brazil executive Carlos Augusto Marques received the printed version of the Management Report of Esmat, which includes the activities carried out by the school in the 2023-2024 biennium.

Also at the event, executives of Microsoft Brazil discussed the possibility of holding an in-person course at the headquarters of the company in Seatle, USA.
“With an immersive and dynamic proposal, our aim is to deepen our knowledge of how to use the tools created by Microsoft, with the aim of improving the provision of justice throughout Brazil with the help of Generative Artificial Intelligence,” he said.
