Tjto And Fgv Sign Contract To Hold The Vi Competition For The Judiciary In The State Of Tocantins

“This act crowns the end of our administration,” said the President of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe, on Tuesday night (January 14th), when she signed the contract that celebrates the partnership with the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV), the institution bidding for the long-awaited 6th Public Competition for the Judiciary in the state of Tocantins.

15 places

The signing of the agreement, which took place in the office of the President at the Tocantins River Palace in the city of Palmas, is an important step. The last exam for the magistracy in the TJTO took place 18 years ago and, since then, due to the high demand in the flow of cases, the accumulation of districts and the retirement of magistrates, the Full Court, in an ordinary administrative session held in October of 2023, authorized the opening of a selection process for seven immediate vacancies for Substitute Judges and a reserve list, which could reach a total of 15 vacancies.

Work of many hands

In addition to the President of the TJTO, the General Director, Ana Carina Souto, the Administrative Director, Ronilson Pereira da Silva, and the Director of People Management, Márcia Mesquita, also signed the contract. Looking back, Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe recalled that two years ago, when she took over as President of the TJTO, the competition for Judges was a major objective of the 2023/2025 administration.

“During all this time, our team has worked day in, day out. We created a commission to work on the preliminary studies, we went through several phases of this process and today the commitment of several hands has made our initial goal a reality. We are ending our term, reaping the rewards and knowing that the process is on track,” said the President of the TJTO.

Schedule

The VI Public Competition for the positions of Substitute Judge of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins and the formation of a reserve list will be divided into five eliminatory and qualifying stages. Candidates will take part in a selective objective test, a written discursive test and a practical sentencing test, a background check and social investigation, a physical and mental health examination, a psycho technical test, an oral test and an assessment of qualifications.

The next steps until the publication of the public notice will begin in January, according to the Administrative Director of the TJTO, Ronilson Pereira da Silva. “Next Tuesday (January 21st) we will have a meeting with representatives of the FGV to define the execution schedule,” he confirmed.
