The Superior School of the State of Mato Grosso (Esmagis-MT) celebrated its 39th anniversary on Thursday 13th with a solemn ceremony at the headquarters of the institution in the city of Cuiabá. The event was attended by several authorities, members of the legal community and special guests.
During the ceremony, the Professor Mauro José Pereira Academic Merit Medal was awarded to Justice Marco Anthony Steveson Villas Boas, General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) and President of the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of the Magistracy (COPEDEM).
The award, instituted in 2009, is given to individuals who have contributed significantly to the development of the educational activities of Esmagis. The choice of Justice Villas Boas was unanimously approved by the the Advisory Council of Esmagis, in recognition of his commitment and dedication to strengthen relations between judicial schools and advancing legal education in Brazil.
Festivity
The celebration of 39 years of Esmagis was a moment to reflect on the progress made and the challenges ahead in the judicial education. Founded in 1985, Esmagis has played a crucial role in the training and improvement of magistrates in the State of Mato Grosso, contributing to the strengthening of the Judiciary in the State.
