The period for submitting proposals for the 1st Conference on Health Law, which will be held on June 13th and 14th at the Council of the Federal Justice (CJF), is now open. The event is organized by the National School for the Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam) and the Center for Judicial Studies (CEJ) of the CJF, with the support of the National Council of Justice (CNJ). The deadline for registering is April 8th, by filling in the electronic form available on the Portal of the CNJ.
The aim of the Conference is to provide a critical analysis of proposals related to Health Law, based on debates between Magistrates, Prosecutors, public and private Lawyers, Professors, invited experts and those interested in the subject.
The event, under the general coordination of the vice-President of the Council of the Federal Justice (CJF), Director of the Center for Judicial Studies (CEJ) and Chief of Justice of the Federal Justice, Minister Og Fernandes, will have the scientific coordination of the national Chief of Justice, Minister Luis Felipe Salomão, and the General Director of the National School for the Training and Improvement of Magistrates (Enfam), Minister Mauro Campbell Marques.
The executive coordination, in turn, is under responsibility of the Assistant Federal Judges of the General Internal Affairs of the Federal Justice, Alcioni Escobar da Costa Alvim and Erivaldo Ribeiro dos Santos, the Assistant Judge of the National Internal Affairs of Justice, Beatriz Fruet de Moraes, and the Executive Secretary of Enfam, Fabiano da Rosa Tesolin.
The programming of the day includes the official opening at 10 a.m. on June 13th, followed by an inaugural conference. Afterwards, the discussions will be divided into five thematic commissions, all chaired by Ministers of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ). The themes and respective chairs will be: Public Health, Justice Benedito Gonçalves; Supplementary Health, Justice Antonio Carlos Ferreira; Evidence and the Role of the Anvisa/Conitec/ANS Institutions, Justice Villas Bôas Cueva; Oncology, Rare Diseases and Line Regulation, Justice Afrânio Vilela; Support for Process Management and Decision Making, Justice Marco Buzzi.
The work will continue on June 14th, with a plenary meeting starting at 9 a.m., during which the proposed statements approved by the committees will be analyzed and voted on. The closing session is scheduled for 5 pm. The 1st Conference on Health Law promises to be a mark in the improvement of health-related legal discussions, bringing together the main players and experts in the field to debate pressing issues and promote significant advances in health-related legislation and practices in Brazil.
