Esmat Holds Voluntary Delivery Webinar

This Friday (December 1st), dozens of Judges and civil servers attended the Voluntary Delivery Webinar, promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT). The aim of the activity was to improve the understanding of ethics and legal parameters of the participants, and to reflect on and improve practices regarding the reception of pregnant women or parturients who express an interest in giving up their child, in a humanized way, through voluntary delivery.

The webinar was given by Assistant Judge Hugo Gomes Zaher, of the Court of Children and Youth in the city of Campina Grande/PB, who has a master's degree in Constitutional Law, and Doctor Angélica Gomes da Silva, in Social Work, under the mediation of magistrate Adriano Gomes de Melo Oliveira, Judge of the Court of Children and Youth of the city of Palmas and coordinator of the Coordination Office of Children and Youth of the city of Palmas (CIJ).

The activity is also aimed at understanding the theme of voluntary delivery by training the participants, with a view to the developing ethical appropriation and legal parameters regarding voluntary delivery procedures, preparing magistrates and civil servers of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, accredited by the Management Group of Multidisciplinary Teams, who work in the area of Children and Youth, for the challenges that this demand presupposes.
