Esmat In Action For A More Sustainable Future: Batteries, Paper And Plastic Are Delivered To Recycling Institutions

The campaign of 2023 to collect waste for the reverse logistics of batteries, paper and plastic at the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) ended with a pleasant surprise. Over the course of the year, 520 kg of paper, 62 kg of plastic and more than 11 kg of batteries were collected.

The materials collected by magistrates and civil servers were delivered by Esmat to the Natura Life Institute (INA) and the Solid Recyclable Materials Collectors Association of the city of Palmas (ASCAMARES).

Stay tuned! Paper and plastic waste are easily recyclable and have a financial return, while batteries are highly harmful to the environment and, when crushed or burst, cause internal fluid leakage of the elements mercury, lead and cadmium, which can contaminate soil and water.
