Esmat Presents Esmat 2023 Journalism Award Notice To Undergraduate Journalism Professors At UFT

On Tuesday (August 29th), the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins, through its Academic Advisory, held a meeting with journalism professors from the Federal University of the State of Tocantins (UFT) to publicize the Esmat Journalism Award in the academic world.

The first Esmat journalism award has a specific area in its call for entries for academics, with the aim of integrating professors. In order to increase the number of entries from undergraduates, Esmat held an afternoon of presentation and debate, which was full of expectation from both Esmat and the professors.

To take part, students must submit their communication products, published and broadcast during the period from May to October 2023, and they need to be endorsed by a professor, as well as following the themes proposed in the call for proposals.

Professor Marco Túlio Câmara, who teaches Text Production on the Journalism course at UFT, pointed out that the ESMAT award is a great opportunity. "It's a chance for us to value the work done by UFT journalism students. We work a lot on the relationship between theory and practice in the classroom, with work and critical reading focusing on human rights, for example. I therefore believe that this is an excellent opportunity for them to practice what we have discussed in the integral formation of these students," he said.

The awards for academics will not be divided into categories, but for the 1st place - R$ 2,000.00 (two thousand reais) and a certificate; 2nd place - R$ 1,500.00 (one thousand five hundred reais) and a certificate; 3rd place - R$ 1,000.00 (one thousand reais) and a certificate.
