Sepot discusses access to justice project for indigenous communities in partnership with

The Secretary of State for the Originated and Traditional Peoples of the State of Tocantins (SEPOT), Narubia Werreria, visited, last Tuesday (28th), the facilities of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT).

On the opportunity, he met with Marco Villas Boas, General Director of Esmat, to discuss the partnership in the "Access to Justice Network" project. The action, which aims to facilitate access to justice for indigenous communities and quilombolas by raising awareness of their rights and duties in the full exercise of citizenship, is a project of the folder.

"We want to work on this project across the board, so that in the future it can become a permanent program for access to justice," said the Secretary.

The Justice said he liked the design of the project. "We can contribute and involve other institutions in a project of this magnitude", and made the team of the school available to also help structuring the action.

The signing of the partnership agreement between the Government of the State of Tocantins, through Sepot, and Esmat will take place at the launch of the project, with a date yet to be confirmed.
