Esmat's servers join the "Drive Thru of Selective Collection Solidarity" promoted by TO Sustainable Network

Next Monday, June 7th, from 8am to 5pm, the "Drive Thru of the Selective Collection Solidarity" will take place in the external area of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO), at “Girassol” Square. The action is aimed at public servers and magistrates, but it is also open to the general public. The event is promoted by the Socio-environmental Management Center (NUGES) in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT).

The Drive Thru system strategy allows people to deliver the materials to be donated without having to leave their cars, respecting the sanitary measures and facilitating the participation of those who are at home office. Therefore, it is important that the participants pay attention to the correct use of masks and use alcohol gel. All the residues collected will be disinfected before being delivered. Those who participate in the action will receive a Cerrado native plant seedling for their donation.

All kinds of recyclable materials used in daily life can be donated, such as paper (paper in general, office paper, packaging paper, tissue paper, notebooks, newspapers, magazines, envelopes), cardboard, glass (food jars, bottles, medicine bottles), plastic (PET bottles, bags, PVC pipes, packaging, etc.), milk and juice cartons (made of plastic, aluminum and cardboard), and metals (aluminum and steel cans, wires, nails, copper wire, etc.). ), tetra park type milk and juice cartons (made of plastic, aluminum, and cardboard), and metals (aluminum and steel cans, wires, nails, copper wire, etc.). The materials must be delivered clean and dry. The orientation of TO Sustainable Network is that those interested in participating in the action should correctly separate the recyclable and non-recyclable solid residues and accommodate them in cardboard boxes, preferably, instead of using plastic bags to take them to the Drive Thru.

The librarian Silvania Melo de Oliveira Olortegui incorporated the environmental theme into her home to support a charity that fights cancer. With the new solidary action, she searched at home for objects and containers that can and should be recycled. "For some time now I have been collecting caps of various products to donate to the Love Hospital. Now, with the solidary delivery, I will expand the collection of recyclable materials, such as bottles, packaging for cleaning products, cream jars, shampoo, bags; bottles, jars, cups, canning jars, and others," she said.

Esmat invites academics, students and graduates of its training courses to participate in the campaign that, besides generating income for recyclable product collectors, contributes to the sustainability of Planet Earth.
