Copedem initiates seminar on resumption of the growth focusing on the business class with an eye on the needy populations

Counting on a hybrid program and simultaneous broadcast via Youtube platform, the Permanent College of Directors of State Schools of Magistracy (COPEDEM) started, this Thursday (26th), the programming of the Seminar on Resumption of the Economic Growth, promoted in partnership with the National School of Magistracy (ENM) and the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT). The program continues until next Saturday (28th).

In his speech, Justice Marco Villas Boas, president of Copedem, recalled the importance of the activities of the entity being resumed, even if with a reduced audience, but with the concern to discuss socio-environmental issues and the inter-relationship with the international community. "We must now think about how to grow economically again by valuing people and preserving the environment, starting from the preservation and conservation of the environment that has countless traditional communities, indigenous communities, forest peoples, among other groups. We are working day by day so that Brazil grows economically potent and with an attention to what it has of most precious, which is its people", he stated.

For Justice Caetano Levy Lopes, president of the National School of Magistracy, in addition to the resumption of the economy, it is also necessary to bring to productive growth people who have been excluded from the economic scenario. "The economy has stopped. It has entered a very slow pace. These people of ours need to be reintegrated into our economy. No one is staying on the street because they want to. It's the loss of jobs, the loss of opportunities. In our view it is only possible with the orderly growth of the economy, but also in a growth that takes into account how to re-integrate these people that are alienated from the economic process," he said.

The opening of the lecture cycle included a presentation by Minister João Otávio de Noronha, from the Superior Court of Justice, who spoke about Companies Recovery in the current economic context, followed by Dr. Claudenir Brito, director of compliance and risk at the BNDES, who spoke about the role of the infrastructure in the resumption of the growth.

In the homage program, Justices Rosalvo Augusto Vieira da Silva, General Director of the School of Judges of the State of Bahia (EMAB), and Mário Albiani Alves Júnior, General Director of the Corporative University of the Judiciary of the State of Bahia (UNICORP) were decorated with the delivery of the medal in honor of Justice Domingos Franciulli Neto for the relevant services rendered to the legal improvement.
