The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) will be for another two-year term (2023 – 2025) under the direction of Justice Marco Villas Boas. Held on Tuesday morning (October 4th), the ceremony was attended by several authorities who participated both in person, in the Plenary of the Court, and virtually through the TJTO channel on YouTube.
During the formal session, the new Board of Directors of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins was also elected. Justice Ângela Haonat was unanimously elected to the position of Deputy Director of the School.
In his fifth consecutive term, Justice Marco is one of the greatest motivators as to the improvement and development of the Judicial Provision of magistrates and servers of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins.

On the occasion, the General Director thanked the servers of the School who dedicated themselves to make the judicial education more efficient, “I want it to be recorded in the minutes a compliment to the servers of Esmat who participated intensively in the structuring of the doctoral project. In association with the national network of Esmat with other schools, so that we can train and improve Judges, magistrates and the whole justice system in Brazil”, he commented.
The new Board of Directors has Justice Etelvina Maria Sampaio Felipe as the president, and Justice Ângela Prudente, as the vice-president.
The General Internal Affairs of Justice will have as General Corregidor Justice Maysa Vendramini and, as vice-Corregidor, Justice Jacqueline Adorno. Justice Helvécio Brito Maia Neto is the new judicial ombudsman, and Justice Adolfo Amaro Mendes will be the deputy ombudsman.
According to the Internal Rules of the Court, the inauguration of the new Executive Board and the other elected officers will take place on the first working day of February 2023, in a solemn session at the Full Court.
