At the opening of the judicial year of the court of justice of the state of Tocantins, Esmat reinforces training

During the Opening of the 34th Judicial Year in the State of Tocantins, Justice Marco Villas Boas, General Director of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), reinforced the School’s commitment to promote training and informational activities for Judges, public servers, and the general population throughout the year 2021. In total, 9.123 certifications were issued. The ceremony was broadcasted via the Youtube platform and was attended by Judge João Rigo Guimarães, president of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins; acting Governor Wanderlei Barbosa; and other authorities representing the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins.

In his speech, the Judge recalled that, due to the health restrictions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, for the second consecutive year, it was necessary to readapt the planned activities, so that they could take place in a virtual way in the Distance Learning modalities or by exhibition on the Youtube Digital Platform. “We are working hard to promote the qualification and improvement of the Judicial Provision. In these difficult times of pandemic and distancing, we remais firm in the primordial mission o four School of the Judges”, he Said. Also according to the Judge, the Management Report 2021 contemplating all the activities performed by the School last year is already published virtually on the Esmat Portal.

Judge João Rigo Guimarães, president of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, thanked everyone for their presence and stressed the importance of everyone in serving the community, even in times of pandemic. “We wish everyone success, we take the opportunity to congratulate the fellow Justices in the presentations of the Management Reports, and we invite everyone to do their Best in this momento f difficulty, to serve the people facing this pandemic, and to maintain the unity of servers and magistrates,” he said.

 

Courses for 2022

For 2022, 150 academic activities are planned at Esmat, among them courses and events that will be held throughout the year and meet the demands presented by the General Board of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins and other bodies of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO).

Subdivided into 11 thematic axes, the activities promoted by Esmat cover the areas of Civil, Criminal, Human Development, Family, Public Finance, Governance and Management, Children and Youth, Environment and Sustainability, Health, Information Technology and Public Policy. In total, 5,352 hours of academic and curricular activities will be offered to Judges and public servers from the Judiciary, public servers from Esmat's partner agencies, and civil society.
