Commissions debate About The Archival Diagnosis of The Judiciary of of The State of Tocantins

On Monday morning (November 28th), the Commission of Jurisprudence, Documentation and Memory, presided by Justice Ângela Prudente, met with the Permanent Commission of Documental Evaluation (CPAD) and Commission of Memory Management (CGM) for the presentation and deliberation of the Archival Diagnosis of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins.

The Memory Management and Documental Management policies for judicial and administrative proceedings were instituted at the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) in 2022, from the Resolutions nº 01/2022 and nº 02/2022, following the principles and guidelines of the Resolution nº 324/2020, from the National Council of Justice, which, besides instituting memory management and documental management norms, provided for the National Program for Documental Management and Memory of the Judiciary (Proname).

By means of the Ordinances nº 2264/2022 and nº 2265/2022, the members of the Permanent Commission for Documental Evaluation and the Memory Management Commission were appointed, which have a permanent character, with the purpose of coordinating and promoting the policy of Memory Management and Documental Management in the ambit of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins.

During the meeting, the members of the commissions were presented with the Archival Diagnosis of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, a product of the project that started in July and had the objective of making an archival diagnosis in the headquarters of the districts of the State and in the TJTO, identifying aspects related to the volume, organization, furniture, digitalization, conservation and storage of the judicial and administrative documents.

Besides the data presentation, the meeting also counted on discussions and deliberations of the commissions about improvement proposals that will be forwarded to the Presidency of TJTO, among which it is highlighted the creation of a Central Archive; the institution of preservation policies, collection, transfer and disposal of documents; the creation of a macro planning of Documental Management and Memory; and the development of training for servers addressing this issue.

 

Promotion of Citizenship

In the opportunity, Justice Ângela Prudente emphasized the importance of the instituted commissions and of the present members for the proposition and orientation of instruments directed to document evaluation and memory management, “which aim to guarantee access to the information necessary for the exercise of rights, as well as the promotion of citizenship through access to the archival, bibliographical, historical, and cultural heritage guarded by the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, reverberating in the diffusion and consolidation of our institutional image”, she commented.



Presentation

The meeting was marked by the presentation of the diagnosis by archivist Filipe Pereira Cunha and the drafts of the Temporality Tables developed by Cojud, which will be discussed and reviewed by a Working Group designated by the commissions for this purpose.
