The Superior Court of Justice (STJ) is holding, from this Monday (15th) until June 16th, a public consultation for the review of its Accessibility and Inclusion Policy for People with Disabilities or Reduced Mobility.
The participation in the survey can be in two ways: through a form (click here), also accessible to people with complete visual impairment, or by E-MAIL inclusã
The consultation initiative follows the recommendation of the primer HOW TO BUILD AN ACCESSIBLE ENVIRONMENT IN PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONS, created by the Accessibility Network, which suggests the participation of the external public in the construction of policies and their periodic review.
ACTIONS OF THE COURT TO PROMOTE IGUALITY
The Coordinator of Accessibility and Inclusion of STJ explains that the purpose of the survey, besides validating the principles, guidelines, and objectives of the new policy, is to meet the motto "Nothing about us without us," by giving people with disabilities the opportunity to give their opinion on the revision.
According to the coordinator, the new policy will guide the activities of the Citizenship Court in promoting the social inclusion of the people with disabilities or reduced mobility, seeking to ensure the exercise of fundamental rights and freedoms in equal conditions.
