Registrations Are Open For Symposium With A Focus On Health Judicialization

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) has opened registrations for the 5th Symposium on Law and Health: Focusing on the Judicialization of Health, which will be held next Monday, April 13th. Aimed at magistrates and civil servers of the Judiciary of the state of Tocantins, the event will discuss issues related to health judicialization, the list of ANS procedures and integration between public and supplementary systems.

The symposium, coordinated by Justice Gil de Araujo Corrêa, aims to analyze the interaction between the list of ANS (National Agency of Health) procedures, the judicialization of health in the context of the ADI 7,265, in processing at the Supreme Federal Court (STF), and the integration between public and supplementary health systems, with a focus on improving judicial performance and promoting more efficient, balanced decisions aligned to the realization of the right to health.

The programming will take place in the auditorium of Esmat and it will start at 12:30 pm, with accreditation, and it will continue throughout the afternoon with an opening lecture, two round of conversation and closing lecture.

Among the confirmed names are minister Ricardo Villas Bôas Cueva, of the Superior Court of Justice; the federal Judge Clenio Jair Schulze; Marcos Vinicius Ottoni, advisor of the National Data Protection Council of ANPD; Lenise Barcellos de Mello Secchin, executive secretary of the ANS; Justice Pedro Nelson de Miranda Coutinho; the federal Judge João Pedro Gebran Neto; Judge Milene de Carvalho Henrique; and Luís Roberto Barroso, former minister of the STF.

Among the topics under discussion are "Judicialization of Health and the Parameters of the STF", "Role of the ANS, Judicialization - ADI 7,265 STF", "Public and Supplementary Health members of the same system" and "The role of the STF in the Judicialization of Health: perspectives from the ADI 7,265”.
