The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) is open with registrations for the course on "Tackling Domestic and Family Violence against Women", which will be held from April 10th to November 15th of this year, in the self-instructional mode. The training is aimed at professionals from institutions that make up the network of tackling violence against women.

In all, 500 vacancies are being offered. Among the target audience are magistrates, judicial and other public servers, members of the State Prosecution and the Public Defender’s Office, members of public security, social assistance and health professionals, counselors tutors, professionals from reference centers and other agents involved in victim care.
According to the Notice no. 054 of 2026, the course aims to "train professionals from all the institutions of the network of care for women in situations of domestic/family violence, so that they can properly recognize cases, apply legal and humanized procedures, assess risks and articulate effective inter-institutional responses, contributing to the protection of victims and the prevention of violence”.
The initiative is coordinated by Judge Cirlene Maria de Assis Santos Oliveira. Among the topics provided are concepts and types of domestic and family violence, Maria da Penha Law and protective measures of urgency, qualified listening and humanized reception, risk assessment and networking with referral flows, intervention strategies and prevention.
