The fourth and last class of the course on "Basic Life Support and First Aid" was successfully held on Tuesday afternoon (November 4th), in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO). Promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT), the training focused on guiding civil servers and magistrates on how to act in emergency situations that require a quick and effective response, until the arrival of specialized services.

The 4-hour-class training included practical and theoretical contents on cardiac arrest, use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), cases of choking, fainting, convulsions, hemorrhages and burns. The activities were conducted by the Cardiologist Elaine Cristina Ferreira and the Nurse Bruno Ribeiro Rocha, both employees of the TJTO.

In a comment, Dr Elaine shared her emotion for teaching the course in a space that also represents her professional career.

“I lived a great honor: to teach a first aid training at the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, organ of which I am also part and which I admire so much. I shared with the civil servers how to act before a stroke, cases of choking and the use of the automatic external defibrillator. A moment of learning, care and appreciation of life!", she said.

In addition to the class held at the TJTO, the course also passed, throughout the year, by the counties of Miracema (Class I - April 29th), Paraíso do Tocantins (Class II - May 13th) and General Internal Affairs of Justice (Class III - September 16th).
