
The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) holds, on October 7th and 8th, the course on "General Data Protection Law (LGPD) applied to the Extrajudicial Service of the State of Tocantins". The activity is coordinated by Law Judge Marcelo Laurito Paro, PhD in Regional Development.
With a workload of 16 hours, the course will address from the fundamentals of LGPD and its interface with other standards, to practical aspects such as legal hypotheses of data processing, security incidents, information governance and communication to the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

In total, 40 vacancies will be made available, exclusively for holders and responsible for extrajudicial service of the state of Tocantins. The training will be conducted by facilitators:
- Douglas Chagas da Silva – Doctor in Electrical Engineering, by USP (University of the State of São Paulo). Professor at Unitins (State University of Tocantins). IT coordinator of the Ministry of Racial Equality;
- Franklin Jeferson dos Santos – Specialist in data protection with Master of Laws in GDPR and LGPD, by the University of Lisbon and College of Law of the state of Minas Gerais.
