
In the period from August 21st to September 19th, it will be held the 12th class of the course on Financial Education for Consumers - My Accounts Up to Date at Cejusc -, promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat). The activity is directed to consumers in situation of over-indebtedness, previously assisted in a pre-trial phase in the Eproc system, at the Cejuscs, Cejusc Ulbra or judgments that refer the participations.
The training will be offered in hybrid mode, with face-to-face meetings at Cejusc Ulbra and ONLINE activities in the Virtual Learning Environment of Esmat (AVA), totaling 20 lesson hours.
The course aims to provide consumers/jurisdictional parties with financial education and psychosocial guidance on consumption and ways of dealing with over-indebtedness, in order to assist in the renegotiation of debts of consumers in situations of over-indebtedness, as established by the Law no 14.181, of July 1st, 2021, which amended the Consumer Protection Code (Law no 8.078, of 1990), especially as provided for in the article 104-A of the mentioned Law, regarding the collective debt renegotiation process.
Structure of the course
The programming is organized in four modules:
- Financial education
- Psychology of consumption
- Consumer protection and advocacy
- Entrepreneurship
The classes will address from financial concepts and strategies for budget rebalancing to behavioral and legal aspects related to consumption, with a focus on promoting the dignity, inclusion and financial autonomy of the participants.
