Testimonials Reveal The Positive Influence Of The Parenting And Divorce Workshops Held At The Cejusc In The City Of Palmas

Workshops on Parenting and Divorce are being held at the Judicial Center for Conflict Resolution and Citizenship (Cejusc) in the city of Palmas, as part of the Training of Exhibitors promoted by the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat). This practical stage marks an important step in the training process, after the period dedicated to theoretical aspects at the centers of the cities of Palmas and Guaraí.

The participants are now immersed in the workshops, where each must conduct at least five sessions. The activities are coordinated by professionals such as Cristina Palason Moreira Cotrim, a retired judicial psychologist from the Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo (TJSP); Fabiana Cristina Aidar da Silva, a clinical psychologist; Lorena da Cruz Neves Pimenta Gutierrez, the administrative advisor to the Permanent Center for Consensual Methods of Conflict Resolution (Nupemec); and Wilvilândia Dalvino de Alencar Moura, the Secretary of the Cejusc center of the city of Araguatins.

On April 19th, the Forum of the city of Palmas hosted the 31st Parent-Child Workshop. Maria Elisa Tadei Lopes shared her impressions of the activity and expressed her gratitude:

"Here at the workshop, I felt very welcomed and understood that we can work on our emotional intelligence." She also shared a motivating reflection: "I learned that when we respect each other, it reflects on the children... I'm feeling restored to be a real mother to my daughters".

Pedro Henrique Grezele, a participating father, admitted his initial doubts and expressed confidence that the experience would contribute positively for improving his communication: "I confess that I came here with a bit of prejudice... The exhibition was very good for opening our eyes and expanding our horizons".

"One of the minors present, 12-year-old I.M.S., highlighted the value of the workshops for young people: "I realized that this workshop helps both teenagers and children to understand that they are not guilty for the divorce".

With more workshops planned, these activities are part of a training initiative aimed at training exhibitors at the Parenting and Divorce Workshop, in line with the Recommendation No. 50 of the National Council of Justice. This project seeks not only to resolve family conflicts, but to enable those involved to be protagonists in resolving their own challenges, promoting the well-being of families and caring for their children.
