Esmat Launches A Call For Articles For The First Edition Of The Liiares Journal

The Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat) announces a call for articles for the first edition of the Journal of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence (LIIARES Journal). The journal was created to strengthen applied scientific research in the Justice ecosystem, connecting innovation, knowledge, and practice with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI), digital governance, ethics, data protection, and sustainability/socio-environmental issues, translating science into social and institutional impact.

Topics of interest include the responsible application of AI in the Judiciary—with automation under human supervision, transparency, explainability, and reliability—as well as governance and regulation guided by normative, guidelines, and algorithmic impact reports.

Also included are debates on ethics, LGPD (General Personal Data Protection Law), and data sovereignty, with an emphasis on information security and digital rights; climate and decarbonization in the public sector, covering GHG (Greenhouse Gases ) inventories, emissions reduction (Scopes 1–3), AI-supported MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification), climate finance, and adaptation; and, finally, Generative AI in Justice services, exploring uses in precedents, conciliation/ODR (Online Dispute Resolution), and digital public services, with a focus on social impact, technical integrity, and accountability.

Who can submit

Researchers, magistrates, civil servers, professionals, and students from various fields, in interdisciplinary dialogue with the Justice System.

Kinds of contribution
