Selection Of Project In Artificial Intelligence Follows With Registrations Open Until March 26th

The registrations for the selection of research projects in Artificial Intelligence applied to the Justice System will continue until March 26th. The opportunity is offered by the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence (LIIARES) of the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), in partnership with the Foundation for Scientific and Technological Support Foundation of the state of Tocantins (Fapto), which published on March 6th, two notices aimed at the development of research, development and innovation proposals aimed at the Judiciary, Public Management and Judicial Education.

The initiative seeks to encourage proposals that contribute to the improvement of judicial services, to the development of technological tools applied to public administration and to the expansion of training methodologies mediated by digital technologies.

The goal is to bring academic research closer to institutional challenges, stimulating the creation of solutions capable of improving judicial and administrative processes, as well as strengthening digital transformation initiatives in the Judiciary.

Projects with research scholarship

In all, seven projects will be selected with the granting of research scholarships for a period of up to twelve months. The opportunities are intended for researchers linked to postgraduate programs, distributed among three vacancies for doctoral, two for master’s and two for lato sensu post graduate, with scholarships that can reach R$ 3,500.00 (three thousand five hundred reais) monthly, according to the academic category.

To participate in the selection process as a research fellow, interested parties must observe the rules published in the Notice No. 011 of Fapto, 2026.

Voluntary projects

In addition to the scholarship positions, four projects will also be selected on a voluntary basis. In this modality, the participants will have technical-operational support from LIIARES for the development of proposals.

To participate in the selection process under this modality, interested parties must observe the rules published in the Notice no. 043 of 2026.

Thematic areas

Projects should be aligned with areas related to the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, such as application of AI in judicial and administrative processes, data governance and algorithms, tools to support judicial decision-making, technology-mediated judicial education, responsible innovation and digital inclusion in the Judiciary. Proposals that analyze social impacts and sustainable development aspects associated with emerging technologies may also be considered.

Registrations

Registrations must be made through the Contest Management System (SGC) of Esmat by March 26th

The Research Project is an essential document for evaluating the criteria of the call for proposals. After the completion of registration in the system, it is essential that the candidate access the Candidate Area and submit the project. Failure to submit implies the non-effective participation in the selection process.

The final result is scheduled for release on April 28th, with development of the selected projects starting on May 5th.
