“This event is not only a gathering of brilliant minds from the legal and health scene, but also a celebration of our continuous search for a fairer, more balanced and predictable system," he said.

In his speech, the magistrate also highlighted the 20 years of Copedem, an entity that has consolidated itself as a reference in the articulation of the Judicial and Judiciary Schools throughout the country.

“Throughout its history, the College has consolidated itself as a fundamental pillar in the dialogue between the Judicial Schools and the Judiciary of Brazil. Its dedication to the training and continuous improvement of magistrates has been decisive in improving the quality of judicial service within the scope of the State Courts", he added.

The executive superintendent of IESS, doctor José Cechin, also reinforced the importance of the institutional partnership.

"In this partnership IESS and Copedem, it helped a lot the progress, the understanding of the issues of supplementary health and alternative ways [to what] is well known as judicialization of health, which, despite the efforts of IESS, Copedem and other entities, continues growing. It is a great collection that Copedem puts at the disposal of judges to base their decisions", explained.
