Ii Meeting Of Socio-Environmental Management Of The Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins Reinforces Commitment Of State Courts To Sustainability

Parallel to the IV Seminar on Socio-Environmental Management with the theme: Networking for zero landfill in the State of Tocantins, the II Meeting of Socio-Environmental Management of the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins took place this Friday morning in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins, aimed at magistrates, forum Directors, managers and civil servers of the TJTO. The event reaffirmed the commitment of the institution to sustainability and the elimination of rubbish dumps in the State.

The meeting began with the screening of an educational video on harassment, highlighting the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful working environment. Afterwards, participants were encouraged to take part in a survey on the subject, accessible via a QR Code displayed on the big screen, promoting collective reflection and the engagement of all those present.

Justice Ângela Prudente, Vice-President of the Court of Justice and President of the Sustainable Logistics Plan (PLS) Management Commission of the TJTO, officially opened the event. In her speech, she stressed the importance of the PLS as a strategic tool for promoting sustainability in the operations of the judiciary.

"Today, more than ever, we face a series of socio-environmental problems that demand joint and decisive action. The degradation of the environment, social inequalities and the challenges of sustainability mean that we urgently need to rethink our management models and our relationship with the planet. For this reason, social and environmental management is essential and, in the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, it has been instrumentalized by our PLS," she argued.

The Justice also addressed the issue of monitoring the more than one hundred and thirty indicators through the Social and Environmental Information Management System (SIGA), developed by the technical team of the TJTO and which is a model for implementation in other Brazilian courts. "It's a system that we can call our own and which has undergone a revitalization this semester in order to make it easier for users to access, making the interface more intuitive and efficient, as well as measures to guarantee the security and integrity of the information stored," she recalled.

Presentations on the PLS and the SIGA System

The event continued with the presentation of the "PLS and Sustainability Review" panel, led by Leila Jardim and Cintia Azevedo. The facilitators detailed the actions implemented under the Sustainable Logistics Plan, including the distribution of the Simplified PLS, which aims to make it easier for employees of the TJTO to understand and apply sustainable concepts. As of July 1st, the SIGA system will be updated.
