The Literary Workshops project, promoted by the Directorate of People Management (Digep) of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins (TJTO) in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (Esmat), is about to continue its second reading circle, scheduled for this Wednesday (April 17th), at 7pm.
Last week, on April 10th, the first meeting was held, bringing together thirty-five civil servers and trainees from the Judiciary. In this first class, the focus of the discussions is on the work: "Dumping Room", by Carolina Maria de Jesus.
For Social Worker Janaina Costa, "an important message from Dumping Room is that black and poor women have a lot to say about the various issues surrounding their lives, politics and society. The discussions about this work are doing a lot to stimulate empathy between us."
The project serves as an opportunity to reflect on contemporary issues that influence daily life, social relations and the workplace, including racial and social inequalities, as well as gender and sexual oppressions.
