Judiciary Of The State Of Tocantins Holds The 1st Meeting On Restorative Justice In Education

With the aim of fostering understanding and awareness of the principles and values of the Restorative Justice (RJ) in Education, as well as debating best practices and strategies for its implementation, the Judiciary of the State of Tocantins, in partnership with the Superior School of the Judges of the State of Tocantins (ESMAT) and the National Council of Justice (CNJ), will hold the 1st National Meeting of Restorative Justice in Education. The event is scheduled to take place from August 23rd to 2th5, in the city of Palmas, and it will be held in the auditorium of the Court of Justice of the State of Tocantins and also in the auditorium of Esmat.

About the vacancies

A total of 350 vacancies are being offered in person, open to various sectors, including Principals of state schools, multidisciplinary teams, Judges, members of civil society, parents and guardians of students, Teachers from state, municipal and private schools, as well as representatives of universities and other education institutions.

About the programming

The meeting will be attended by Minister Rosa Weber, President of the CNJ and the Federal Supreme Court (STF). The programming of the event includes lectures, fast presentations of good practices (PITCHES), and thematic rooms with international speakers.

Opportunity to share Good Practices

During the action, the participants will have the chance to present their good practices in the Restorative Justice in Education through PITCHES, short presentations of up to 3 minutes. Registration for this opportunity is still open, with 12 vacancies available. Also on this occasion, when registering for the event, each participant will be asked to donate a packet of pads to be handed in at the services stand on the days of the 1st National Meeting on Restorative Justice in Education.
